World Class Service Ltd and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra are delighted to announce the World Premiere of Polar. Polar combines stunning HD footage from the world’s best natural history film makers with live music from the RLPO to produce a mesmerising concert experience, taking the audience on a journey to the Arctic and Antarctic regions of our planet.

World Class Service Ltd is focused on a higher standard of performance and that includes our corporate social responsibility programme. Of course we recycle, use earth friendly suppliers, rely on the public transport system where we can and try to tread lightly. We also think this should feel good and so we have developed a communication approach based on Jaques Cousteau’s wonderful idea that it’s easier to protect what we love. Our CSR programme has reached over 30,000 people.

World Class Service Ltd takes a scientific approach to something traditionally seen as intangible; Customer Service. It’s only natural that we’d take a similar approach to our CSR programme. We look to combine our equal passions for Science and Arts/Culture and produce events to inspire and encourage a love and interest in both.

For 2011, we’ve teamed up with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to build a stunning, new live show called Polar. The premiere concerts will take place at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool on January 8th 2011.

The concerts will feature unseen film from the lands of the midnight sun on an immense screen above the orchestra and the score is specially arranged and conducted by John Harle. The music includes work from Bach, Stravinsky, Rautavaara, Harle, Purcell, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Sibelius.

John Harle said,

"Words like epic, poetic and dramatic spring to mind when imagining the vastness of the Polar regions. In this journey through the landscapes and animal life of Arctica and Antarctica we've married music of equal scale and descriptive power to these great wonders of our world. With the lyrical music of Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and Tchaikovsy marrying rhythm, melody and harmony to unforgettable and never-seen-before footage of polar bears, penguins, beluga whales, and Sibelius's symphonic power matching the colossal scale of these icy, remote landscapes, Polar is an ode to these mysterious and monumental regions of the world that will move you with its stunning imagery and music".

Those fortunate enough to catch the World Premiere of Polar will watch the mighty polar bears the haunting beluga and beautiful humpback whales, see the white blizzards, dazzling blue oceans and vast wilderness of the poles come alive on a huge screen above the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

Howard Raynor, Managing Director of World Class Service, said

“The films used in this production capture the dazzling beauty of these remote and fragile places. We’re delighted to be working with John Harle and the mighty Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to create this World Premiere which is already attracting international interest.”
